Students in Ms. Kerr's freshman English classes are reading excerpts from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Maya Angelou, Rita Dove, Amanda Gorman, Langston Hughes, Martin Luther King Jr., and Alice Walker to celebrate Black History Month. Students will be choosing an author to further research for a cumulative project.

In second grade our students have been working on making Valentine wreaths to give to a local elderly care facility called Salem House. We hope these wreaths hanging on each of the residences’ doors will make them smile. It’s one small way we thought we could share kindness in the community.
The NCLA's Middle School Girls Basketball Team are Mid-Piedmont Conference Regular Season and Tournament Champions. On Friday, Feb 9, the Falcons defeated Clover Garden 35-30 to win the Conference Tournament Championship to cap off an undefeated Conference schedule. Way to go Falcons on an amazing season!!!

The Middle School Boys and Girls will take the court tonight in the Mid Piedmont Boys and Girls Conference Championship games. They have worked extremely hard to get to this point! Contests will be held at Bethany Community School with the Girls starting at 5:00pm and the Boys playing at 6:30pm. Come out and cheer on the Falcons!
