Sealed Bid Instructions
The NCLA will begin accepting bids on Friday 5/9 at the High School Front office (7:30am-4:00pm).
All bids must be submitted by 8:00 am Wednesday, May 14th.
Specific questions about the suite should be sent to Joe Hellinger @ Joe.Hellinger@truist.com
All bids should be typed or clearly printed with your name, email address, phone number and bid. Failure to include these necessary items will result in your bid being void. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “High Point Rockers Suite”.
Late submissions will not be accepted.
Proceeds will go to FCS and help cover teacher lunches for next year.
The highest bid will have until noon on Wednesday to submit payment via check, Venmo or cash. Failure to submit payment will result in the second highest being accepted. Checks made payable to NCLA FCS. Venmo: @NCLA-FCS
The NCLA is not responsible for weather related conditions/incidents or sickness/illness that might prevent you from attending the game once purchased.

Students were recently inducted into Los Halcones, the NCLA's Chapter of The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica. The Spanish Honor Society is an academic honor society focused on Spanish language and excellence in secondary education which promotes a continuity of interest in Spanish studies. Its motto is "¡Todos a una!". The ceremony was led by its sponsor, Ms. Shannon Maggard and the 24-25 officers: Zoey Martin, President; Carlie Clayton, Vice-President; Wenda McLaurin, Secretary; Reagan Gauldin, Treasurer.

During the weeks of Monday, 5/5 - Friday, 5/16 the NCLAś Spanish Honor Society will be partnering with The Pulsera Project, a fair trade nonprofit organization that seeks to empower, inspire, and educate people in Central America and the U.S.
The Pulsera Project provides sustainable, well-paying work opportunities for artisans in Nicaragua and Guatemala, most of whom make colorful hand-woven bracelets, or “pulseras” in Spanish. The project then creates a market for their artwork by partnering with schools across the U.S.
Pulseras will be sold for $5 CASH here in our school during lunch or ONLINE Pulsera Online Purchase. You can pay via card, Venmo, Google and Apple Pay, or Paypal. Students can redeem pulseras with the receipt you’ll receive after your purchase, or with cash during the sale. Please note that there is a $0.50 transaction fee for all online transactions to cover service fees.
The proceeds will be invested in a wide range of social impact programs in Nicaragua & Guatemala, including:
*Sustained employment for nearly 200 artists
*Secondary education programs
* University scholarships for artisans and their families
*Healthcare for artisans and their families
*A housing program for artisans and their families
*Environmental initiatives
*Support for other social enterprises doing impactful work in these countries
INCENTIVE: The top 3 students (from Spanish Honor Society and all of the NCLA Spanish Classes combined) who sell the most bracelets will receive a prize!!!
1st place: $50 WALMART GIFT CARD
2nd place: $25 WALMART GIFT CARD
3rd place: $10 WALMART GIFT CARD
We hope this will be a highlight as students engage with the beauty of Latin American culture while lending support to these skilled artisans and their communities!
