Clubs are back! If you would like to start a club, please fill out the form link below. Mrs. Tucker will meet with you to discuss the logistics for your proposed club!
CREATING A NEW CLUB
Any teacher/student/parent volunteer interested in starting a new club must fill out the Club Proposal Form. After the completed form has been reviewed, a meeting will occur between the potential sponsor and/or students and the school counselor. The counselor will then collaborate with school administration, and a decision to either accept or reject the club will be communicated to the sponsor and/or students. Please note: if a club is accepted as a school-sponsored club, the club will be on "pilot" status for two full semesters.
NEW CLUB CRITERIA
To be eligible for consideration as a club sponsored by NCLA, a club must meet the following criteria:
Adherence to Board policy
Evidence of sufficient student interest
Availability of an appropriate adult sponsor and faculty advisor (Every club must be headed by a faculty advisor. If a parent volunteer is going to sponsor the club, a faculty member must still be designated as the advisor and the parent volunteer will report to the faculty member)
Inclusiveness (i.e., the degree to which the club is designed to appeal to and include students regardless of race, sex, religion, ethnicity, disability, etc.)
No significant duplication of purpose, goals, or activities of an existing school-sponsored club
